Dr. Richard C. Rebuck, OD
Dr. Richard C. Rebuck, OD provides care to patients of all ages from age 2 and up. He received his Doctorate in optometry from the Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, Indiana in 1998 and his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA in 1990. During his training, he helped supervise the training of optometry students in ophthalmic optics and had external rotations at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio and The Eye Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah. He has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including an ophthalmology group practice, optometric practices in Martinsburg, WV, Harrisonburg, VA and Greencastle, PA, and now in his own private practice, which opened in October of 2011.
He recently updated the equipment in the office and is now able to provide orthokeratology services. For people with a low to moderate distance prescription, this may be an option for you to be able to see clearly at distance without the need for glasses simply by sleeping in a specialized contact lens that you remove upon awakening to alter the focus of your eyes. Dr. Rebuck, OD has been a resident of Berkeley County since 2004. He enjoys treating many routine and medical eye conditions, fitting specialty contact lenses, treating dry eyes, and general eye care, spending time with the office greeter, his yellow labrador retriever, Anya, who was a shelter dog, and playing tennis, biking, hunting and fishing.
Dr. Rebuck was the Pennsylvania Division AAA state champion javelin thrower as a senior in high school and held the school record at Bucknell University in the javelin throw for several years after graduating. He attends Harmony United Methodist Church. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the West Virginia Association of Optometric Physicians, where he serves as the regional chairperson.
